Lieutenant Anne Carpenter is currently assigned to the
Risk Management/Personnel section, oversees the Major Accident
Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) and the evidence personnel. Her first
assignment with the Highway Patrol was the Urban Traffic Operations
Deputy Commander – Day Shift in Southern Command.
She joined the Department of Public Safety in 1995 as a
Parole and Probation Officer in Las Vegas. Prior to promoting to
Lieutenant and transferring to the Nevada Highway Patrol on December
2005, she was a Sergeant for four years responsible for a variety of
caseloads including: the Medium Risk Caseload, the Mental Health
caseload and Intensive Supervision caseloads.
Lieutenant Carpenter obtained her Bachelor’s degree in
Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Reno and obtained her
Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Nevada,
Las Vegas. Lieutenant Carpenter was an adjunct Professor for 7 years at
the Community College of Southern Nevada. She is also a graduate of the
Northwestern University, School of Police Staff and Command, class #244.
